Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

hello, 


 i need help to configure my Vf-1 to use with Marshall JCM900, what 
is the parameteres in the Global Menu - output, i have configured to 
LINE, but i try the others and the sound is very agressiv, my guitar 
is put in the front connector HI-Z Input is this correct....

hi, if you use the vf 1 in front of the  amp, "guitar
amp (combo)", or "guitar amp (stack)" settings in the
global menu is suitable, when set to "line", it seemed
to me there is too much coloration in the signal,
because it's more suitable to use with a pa system or
a fullrange amp, but i think you should use the eq on
the vf 1 to compensate the differences, also in my
experience, to get a better signal,  the line switch
at the back of the processor must set to 20dB...
