Hello, I just bought a Behringer FCB1010 and a Boss VF1. Now I'm trying to use the FCB to toggle effects on/off. I really can't figure out what midi commands to send. The MIDI implementation card doesn't make any sense to me. Thanks in advance, greetings, - Richard -

Just find out which MIDI CC#s the FCB sends on which buttons and then set the VF-1 up in a way that it responds to those CC#s. Mit freundlichen Gren / With kind regards Thorsten Kowalski

But this means that you can only assign 4 buttons/pedals to 4 functions in the VF1? Isn't there a way to assign buttons/pedals direct to midi-functions? I mean without using the assing functions. Now I have one pedal for Wah, one for Volume and I need one button to switch wah on/off (the wah should automaticly go off when the value of the pedal is 127). This means that I only have one button left for switching another effect on/off. Please someone tell me I didn't get it....... Greetings, - Richard -

Unfortunately this is the case :-( I had different ART units over the years and you could assign at least 9 different MIDI CC#s. I had 5 CC#s for ON/OFF stuff, and a pedal because that was all my Rocktron MidiMate would let me. For me the four CC#s are enough as I play bass and usually don't have loads of FX :-) At least you can assign the CC#s your MIDI board sends to different things in each patch... >>Now I have one pedal for Wah, one for Volume and I need one button >>to switch wah on/off (the wah should automaticly go off when the >>value of the pedal is 127). I installed it yesterday but didn't have time to play around with it. Does anyone have a list of changes for 1.12? Mit freundlichen Gren / With kind regards Thorsten Kowalski

I programmed it so I can use the wah and turn it on/off with the same expression pedal (it's in the manual). That cost me two assing parameters. I use the other two for the second pedal (reverb on/off and level). And the switch buttons I have to use for program-change, because there are no assignments left. Slightly different from what I was intended to do but I'm OK with it. I still don't understand why it isn't possible to make control changes without using assignment 1-4. But I'm still learning, and still I think it's a great piece of equipment. I still have to test it on stage but I think it will do well. Greetings, - Richard -

I got mine some weeks ago and have to program it before our next gig which is due on June 8th... But at least I have vacation the week before and I don't need so much fx playing bass. I usually have compression and switch on octaver or chorus once in a while. Mit freundlichen Gren / With kind regards Thorsten Kowalski
