Midi software

2001-08-12 by frank_wdf@yahoo.de

Hi,
I want to write a PC program to read/write/modify the patches. Does
anybody have a manual on the VF-1 midi commands. It was mentioned in
the VF-1 reference manual, that there is a midi reference available
for VF-1 but I did not find it ?
ciao Frank

Hi, Frank.

The manual says to contact the nearest Roland customer service center or
authorized Roland distributor for the midi implementation publication. If
you don't have any luck getting one, let me know and I'll see what I can
come up with.

Hi Tim,

I'm interested in the midi implementation publication. I haven't had
luck with local customer service. Any suggestions? Thanks.

BTW anyone using peavey 1600 (or other midi control boxes) with vf-1

Stephen,

I just got a reply from my buddy at Roland. He said the person who would
know about this is out of town until next week. Hopefully I'll hear
something when he returns. I'll let you know ASAP.

Thanks Tim

Are you using a midi controller for the vf1 ?
I've assigned a few parameters on the fly, but I'd like to do this without
wading through menus each time.
This is minor quibble as I really love my vf1
Again, I appreciate the assistance.

No. I just use it as a desk-top processor. However, I might try midi control
in the future.

No problem. Glad to help.
