Heya,

I've been quiet so far, but since I played the Ion last weekend at the
Messe, I felt I had to tell you guys something about it. ;-))

First of all, it looked like the reactions at the Messe were mixed: some
loved the machine, some didn't. Personally, I loved it. It's been a while
since I saw an interesting synth, but this one definitely was. I like the
look of the synth, its user interface and software... and the way it sounds!
It sounds very versatile and it has its own character.

There were lots of filter types, another mail in this forum lists them all,
I think. I tried some of those filters and I must say they sounded very
nice. I'm not sure whether it was the headphones or the synth, but I felt
this device could sound very fat. Of course a noisy fair is not the right
place to judge its sound. It has nice sound shaping possibilities and it's
extremely fun and easy to program.

All in all: I'm excited about this synth adn I hope to test one in the
studio asap.

Question: could anyone give me an email address of someone of the Alesis
team? I've programmed some sounds at the Messe on one of their machines and
I'd like to contact them on this.

Cheers,
Joeri
