Low Frequencies where are you???

Low Frequencies where are you???

2003-01-27 by RENGA Moreno

Hi all,

I am experiencing some new subtilities about real substractive synthesis.
I noticed that if i increase the resonance when the cutoff of any filter is
in the low frequencies, the frequencies below are also decreasing!
Ok the resonance should only increase the frequencies in the cutoff... But
why the others below decrease???
How to avoid this or get them increased (don't talk me about EQs???
I'm more specificaly talking in the filter)
Has it doing with the "Offset"???
It's true that if i decrease the "Env. amount" or the "Offset", the lower
frequencies are more presnt.
But i expected more from a real "Analog"...
Am i missing something?

Thanks in advance for your help...

Moreno

Thats a common behaviour of most analogs (but not all)...and on the A6
especialy on the 24db LPF.
Try using filterfeedback...check the **very important** document at:
http://www.tilt.largo.fl.us/a6/
called: http://www.tilt.largo.fl.us/a6/ANDROMEDA%20TIPS%20AND%20TRICKS.doc

Also, you should subscribe the "main A6 list", check the instructions on
http://www.code404.com/a6/

Best,
Paulo
