i agree completely. altough Andy can imitate some sounds of synths of
yesteryear better than anything else, people forget it is an original
polysynth with its own sound, than NOTHING else can immitate. also,
it cuts thru any mix like a knife. romplers and VA can go home.

So, if you need absolutely perfect minimoog sound, go get a minimoog!
and be done with it - i don't see anybody commenting how crappy do
minimoog impersonations sound on a Prophet Five or OB-Xa (the
untouchables). And they do!! Even memorymoog sounds diiferent than
mini thanks to CEM3340.

So, beauty is in all these synths is in their diversity and subtle
variations. thank god for that, or we'd all have just one synth at
 home.

Also, i disagree that its slow and complicated to get good simple
sounds on A6. As with any synth you need to learn your way arround -
unless you think having 72 knobs is a problem...
I too like the PerFourmer, but if i had to choose, i'd take A6, no
contest.

btw, for the original thread poster, if you want to hear better A6
demos than sonicstate, check this thread on Harmony Central KSS
forum, with several demos made by members/users, for A6, but for tons
of other analog and digital synths as well:
