My opinion is that people sell the Andromeda not because of any quality control or sound issues, but rather because of the spectacularly deep mod matrix, which can frustrate the impatient among us if not savoured fully. I happen to love it. Really digging in can make the Andromeda sound modular with very little effort. So, the "interstellar" quality you seek should come quite easily. Dr. Who noises with 1/6 the oscillators....electroacoustic aleatoric heaven.
