Thanks, Mike.

I understand. I can’t believe, still, how well it emulates the Mini... Incredible, really, without considering the FM, which cannot be duplicated, I am sure.

I don’t know whether you already answered question #2 below, but if you did, I must have lost the email. Here it is again:

> 2. I also wrote about shaky tuning- is that just endemic to the
machine?

And, in detail, it’s when you have two oscillators in any particular voice VERY closely tuned (saws are probably best)- you try to get the beating slowed down as much as possible, so the two are exactly tuned- and it can’t be done. It is more noticeable in higher notes (due to shorter wavelengths, I am sure)... And, even when you do get them tuned very closely together, they don’t smoothly beat against each other- they seem to quiver the whole time. Although the A6’s tuning drifts less than on a Minimoog, the Mini seems to hold “stiller” than the A6 in this situation.

This phenomenon can be observed no matter whether the background or temp tuning are on or off.

Can you comment on this?

Thanks.
Jason

The Fast optimizer setting for the Filter/VCA chip didn't sound right
when creating a Minimoog sound, in direct comparison to a Minimoog.
The next slower setting sounded correct, if my memory serves.

Easier,
