Hello folks, Morten finally convinced me to sign up for this group; I'm a regular at Harmony Central's KSS but I've been becoming more and more interested in the Ion ever since Summer NAMM 2002, despite the naysayers. ;) Now it seems as if my interest might have been well- founded after all. Anyway, Morton keeps us up to date but I keep asking technical questions and he says "Come to my yahoo group and ask Ben Ling, he's a developer", and I finally had a question so pressing that I decided to do just that. :) So, Ben, Morten says that delay is on your ION wishlist. The musical kind of delay, not the "The Ion has been pushed back to an early September release date" kinda delay. ;) I can personally live without reverb, and I know good reverbs are processor intensive, but an onboard delay, even global (not per part), is something I would really love to have. Tempo synched (and not), LCR... you know, not much, just a simple, functional delay. Now, it seems to me that for delay, you'd have to have access to memory (a megabyte will give you just under four seconds of recording time at 24 bits, 44.1kHz, stereo) that may or may not be available. How would you add functionality like that via OS update? I don't want you to give away engineering secrets or anything, but I really do wonder how much hope I (or anyone) should have for this being added. Thanks, and hello to everyone again. Kiru
