let me give you some advice - act on it if you want to...

instead of making 20 or 30 phone calls every time you need a new piece of
gear & you want to get the best price possible why not stick with one
supplier? one call, no fuss and after a while the same person you call at
that shop may start to give you better deals, and if you're lucky, they call
*you* when they get special deals or have second hand bargains.

back in the u.k. i used to buy exclusively from music control in alsager
(near stoke) - over 10 years. some of the deals i got where amazing. why?
well, they knew i was a long term purchaser from them & also sent a lot of
additional business their way. even though i now live in LA they still get
referrals turning up mentioning my name... think of it as a long term
relationship being better than a one night stand. if you want a quick deal
then fine, but if you want literally 24/7 support and someone being part of
your team then quit using the phone so much.

i have several people i consider part of my musical team, and my new
supplier in the u.s. is one of them!

as for alesis. i've noticed that the quadrasynths & other stuff are
typically 33% off, so i personally feel that $200 drop from the retail price
of $999 not a brilliant deal...
