My continuing Andromeda Weirdness Saga

2003-02-04 by Ray <xray_two@yahoo.com>

Howdy,

In regards to earlier post about tracking down some patches, I think
they are actually in the banks I was looking through earlier (the
banks from the Alesis site). However, I'm experiencing some really
weird behavior transferring the SYSEX from MIDI-OX to the Andy. I
actually found another of the patches I was looking for but went
looking in some of the other banks for the last one (I thought it was
odd that it 'suddenly' appeared where I hadn't seen it before). I
went to find the first patch I had found and it had disappeared from
the location I found it in (I started to right down the bank and user
location of that patch so I could come back to it). SO I went back
to the patch I had found earlier today and sure enough, it was now
missing as well. SO I'm guessing that that not all of the info is
making it out of MIDI-OX to the Andy. So, can someone please tell me
what options they have set up in MIDI-OX (please be as specific as
you can be, I usually use Midiquest to transfer SYSEX and thats an
arduous task with the ANdy). I'm assuming everything is cool an the
synth side and the info is just not making it out of the PC. At
least thats what I'm hoping.

Also something else weird I have noticed. If I shut the Andy off for
a significant amount of time, the next time I power on, the screen is
stuck in the A6 intro screen. No matter what keys or buttons I push,
I get no reponse. If I do quick cycle power, I can get response from
the synth. ANy ideas??

Sorry for being so longwinded
