I'm getting mine soon (a week or so)
All you have to do is email Alesis, the sales manager will answer you 
almost immediately , I did and this is part of the response : ==>

The current Andromeda OS is 1.40.12.  This OS is very solid and there
are no
issues for any end user to be concerned about.

Why don't you go back and read the last posts :  Very interesting !

There's no other Synth like it period you don't even need the
manual to use it the front board is the stste of the art in design
again there's no synth with a front board like this.
It is a unique peace of equipment and its sound is really making WAVES

Everywere i go in my reserch is always YES in favour of the Andromeda.
Plus I also got the chance to play it at my local dealer and believe
me
once you start you don't want to stop playing morphing ant that
UNIQUE 
Ribbon Controller is a killer as the filters and of course THE SOUND .

I just hope you go for it as well.
