RE: [Andromeda_A6-ION] Re: keyboard latency

thanks! i've found a work around in setting the midi connection to local/midi instead of just midi. this way no latency when playing/recording. for playback just swap to midi.

I had some issues w/my Andy as well. But remember, it's an analog and sometimes the instrument gets a little quirky. And because of the analog path there are sometimes little mistakes that are so minute that the system over sees them and or considers it a minor problem and self corrects. The Andy is similar at heart to say and old IBM 5170AT computer that uses the old 8086 and 8088 cpu's. Analogs that have cpu's like Z-80 processor that the MemoryMoog the Profit 5 and other synth's use, run into similar problems from time to time. The one good thing about the Andy is that although it's signal path is fully analog it has a digital interface to help support the massavie 32 oscillators that would otherwise make the machine on the weight of a CS-80 or Profit 10. There's more info but as long as your instrument has been in a good environment and has not been abused, I wouldn't be too concerned. Analogs do things like that. I know all mine have. And I've a MM+ an OB-8,2 Ro land Junos, Moog Source, and a Korg poly 800. I've more but these are the analogs and they play well but have some quirks. All I can say is enjoy them and their little problems.
