any one trying with powermeter?

any one trying with powermeter?

2004-03-07 by knakkeeran_69

hello friends,

I am in the initial stage of designing an energy meter.

My doubt is that Whether I have to dedicate a controller purely for
getting counts from a dsp controller & display it.
Or Can I use same microcontroller for other purposes like relay
switch on/off,tracking of rtc, external keypad interrupts.

with regards,

there is a new reference design of a power meter on
motorola site. Take a look at it, a lcd driving
capable microcontroller (LJ12 I think), with internal
10bit ADC does all the job.
