slightly OT: Cyrillic font for graphic LCD (KS0108)??

2005-05-23 by Stefan Wimmer

Hi folks,

I plan to use a graphic LCD module (128x64 pixel) which has a KS0108
controller in it together with an ATmega64 for a multi language user
interface. A short web search brought up various (c-)libraries to
interface such modules. I even found some font drawing programs, but
being a non russian speaker I'd prefer to get a cyrillic font set from
somewhere over "pixeling together" my own.

Is anybody aware, where I could find one?

Stefan

Look for .BDF fonts. They are primarily a linux thing, but they are bitmapped.

Hi Dave,

...almost too busy to say thank you...

That was a great hint - will save me a lot of work.

Thanks,
Stefan

I know the feeling, we were looking at font creation tools for the
printer, and were pleasantly surprised to find BDF fonts already out there.
The tools are mostly unix-ish, but that's easily dealt with.
