Free electronic samples?

Free electronic samples?

Do you know some producents that realy ship parts samples (you've
ordered something for example)? I'm interested in companies that ship
also to EU (Poland) and not only to USA or Canada. This will help me
to build some low-cost student projects, of course based on AVR :)

www.olimex.com is based in Europe (I forget which
country). I have no idea whether they sample or not.

Atmel is useless for samples. Maxim, ADI and TI are very good (to the UK, at
any rate).

Atmel are ok, they make you contact their reps in the country you are
(in AU I use Prospec who are basically the WA rep for Memec), I place
reasonably large orders (usully multiple tube / tray amounts) so they
help where they can, I do not mind paying for samples, aslong as I can
get 1 or 2 for the 1K price lol

Kat.

I can never work out Memec's site. I figure they want you to give them a call so you feel like you have to order up bigtime :)
Saying you want 2 units is so much easier to a computer screen than a human ;)
Also, I've found National Semiconductor to be great for samples (to Australia at least).

G'day Mr Dingo_aus ( I just know you must have a name :-) )
If I remember correctly you had some problems with the ICE200,
I was wondering how it is going. I think I may have stumbled on some
sort of a cure for it, don't know what I did, but both Studio 4.09 and
3.56 have been working flawlessly for the past few days, not even
a solitaire disassembler screen! or any other annoyance. I have been
trying all the tricks I know to make Studio misbehave, but nothing,
both version solid as a rock!! And this after having blasted Atmel
last week.......

John Samperi

G'Day.
Yes, some ppl call me Nigel :)
And, are you sure it was me who had a problem with the ICE200?
Are you refering to a post here or over at AVRFreaks?
I'm trying to remember but I can't think of anything I would have posted about an ICE200. I don't even own one. Still racking my brain trying to remember? Can you give me a hint? :)
hmmmmm (in deep thought trying to remember),
Dingo_aus (aka Nigel)
P.S. isn't internet anonymity wonderful? :)
