Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good programmer (either serial or usb, preferably) that can program both PIC's and AVRs? Poking around, I see mostly specialized programmers that do either/or but not both. Chris

I beleive that PICALL (from Dontronics?) will do both. I don't know
how up to date with new chips it is though. You can always opt for
sanity and drop the PIC :-))

www.kitsrus.com is selling the same board. Can't remember what kit number was. I think it is kit 117. Pls bear in mind that this kit can program most of the PIC but limited family of AVRs. Good luck.
cheers,

Yes, go ahead. It can. In every AVRs there is an Slave Select Pin. The master should activate this pin on the slave to make it an active slave. Remember, only the master can initiate a data transfer. And make sure the max speed of SPI transfer is 1/4 of the system freq (master or slave, which one is lower). Irfan.
