I'm NOT!! I wish I could un subscribe him myself.

Since his first post "Curly Ears", as he is otherwise known,
has been nothing but an obnoxious creature to people that have
tried to help him.

He has obviously other issues, not just Vista/Studio, and cannot
come to grip with those.

He has NOT replied to the suggestions made to turn off UAC or
to downgrade to the free XP option.

There are non Windows based tools for the AVR, but he cannot find them
or not willing to do anything for himself.

Atmel has ruined his chances to make any money, his life is over etc.

His language reveals the he is the type of person I would no want to have
anything with.

In fact he reminds me of another obnoxious creature banned on avrfreaks,
I wonder if he is the same creature.

   1)   UAC has been turned off since day *ONE*N onj this machine

   2)   There is *NO* "free downgrade" available for purchasers of HP
machines, at least not when they were purchased through best buy, as
this one was, out of financial necessity,

    Yes, and I am *UNABLE* to get bany form of dual booting or WM
working o nthis piece of crap machine, so Linnux isn';t an option
either.   Since I have over 1565 GB of data and apps on this machine,
I ***CANNOT*** simnply reformat.

I can, but having had similar misfortunes with Studio, I'm somewhat sympathetic.

I do think that turning off UAC is a good first step.

I've never had any issues with inculde files. beyond getting it to
work first time, which was just understanding how to do it properly.

.include "c:\dir\file.inc" is ALL you should need in the asm.

If this isn't working (replace "dir" with the proper directory and
"file.inc" as appropriate) then it sounds like vista is once again
sucking bigtime.

UAC breaks a lot of things, MS is actually trying to do a good thing,
but unfortunately where *nix started out this way from the beginning,
MS is trying to lock the doors after the cows are gone and the stable
is on fire.

A trip to K-Mart or Wally World to buy a set of cheap dishes might also 
be a good idea.  The last one I bought was about 25 bucks.

Seeing how many pieces you can put it into has a great deal of 
therapeutic value.  Hammers are not allowed, but sometimes ya just gotta 
do it...at which point, cheating is allowed.

Be sure to wear safety glasses.

I do understand being extremely frustrated with Studio... :(

But he definitely crossed the line when he went into personal attack.

If I had a dime for every time that the various tool suites that I've 
used have balked at what I considered a reasonable request, well, you 
know the rest.  I've yet to use a really solid one, and I've yet to use 
one that is totally useless.  But, well there you have it.
