You could glue a Packet Whacker or Frame Thrower to most anything.

Fred now has a WiFi board with ATmega128L. Its not cheap, but  
reasonable.

As for the EDTP hardware, EtherNut, and most all microcontroller TCP/ 
IP stacks, the hardware is almost the same. Typically all jump thru  
the same hurdles to use an ISA-bus ethernet chip on MCU I/O ports.

Lacking an Atmel solution I'm using a Freescale MC9S12NE64 for a  
project. Project isn't shipping yet but Freescale has recently tagged  
the NE64 as "Not recommended for new designs." Likely to be available  
for years. I really liked the notion of Microchip's ENC28J60 but its  
been about 6 months too slow to market. And now its here its just a  
tad pricey (which is also why I use AVRs rather than PICs).

With any luck the NE64 will get me by long enough for the Atmel  
AT91SAM7X256/128 to reach market.
