I didn't have to get to that; on my home PC the stk worked fine. I tried a couple of other USB serial adapters (as my notebook has no serial ports): USB serial to avoid: Belkin -- this looks like it works, but fails USB serial that works: http://sewelldirect.com/usbtoserial.asp (I'm using the 9pin with the cable... but I got it from a yahoo store) -Thor Johnson
