AVR-Chat

Hello all, I am in need of some basic assembly code for my ps2 
keyboard to 8515 micro project.  I do have some code but it is way to 
long for my level of expertise and obviously won't work.  If I can 
start with a very short example, I believe I can expand on it. I just 
need something very basic that I can compile and step through with 
avrstudio so I can understand it better and expand it with all the 
bells/whistles. One more thing that I would like some opinion on.
Does it make sense to use the Rs232 spare port/hyper-terminal as a 
sort of debugging tool for the ps2 keyboard as apposed to the lcd
that I have connected to the micro. Any help/comments would make my 
day.
