Thanks Gary, that also addresses another project ahead - diving into the
Butterfly :-)

On another question, AVR Studio: I think I have AVR Studio properly connected to
my target system using the 10-pin ISP connector on my STK500 (I have also
removed the VTARGET jumper on the STK500 since my target is self powered) but
I'd like to be sure.  I can't seem to find a way to just start AVR Studio and
look at memory on the target system.  I'd like to verify that the target chip is
unprogrammed before I program it with my software.  Can someone give me the
steps to do that?
