It's not a problem. The gounds of everything on the bench tie to the same 
point.

Bench power supply, or batteries, no difference.


FWIW, It's all working today..

I walked in, turned it on, assembled, loaded, and am debugging in the ice, 
as if nothing happened yesterday at all.

At least it's in a good mood so far.
