I do a ton of realtime > dsp control stuff with floating point on an at90s8535. its for a synthesiser, and as such I need to do a fair bit of exponential maths to get frequencies, generate envelopes and so on, this is where I think the slow down is. I've done what I can to reduce this by updating somethings less often than others, but I can't do much less without the effects being obvious to the ear. Paul
