No . look at the oscillator schematics . it's a standard pierce . XTAL1 = Input XTAL2 = Output MASTER CHIP: Crystal between XTAL1 and XTAL2 with 2 decoupling caps. SLAVE CHIP #1: Connect XTAL1 to MASTER XTAL2 SLAVE CHIP #2: Connect XTAL1 to SLAVE CHIP #1 XTAL2 SLAVE CHIP #3: Connect XTAL1 to SLAVE CHIP #2 XTAL2 Etc.
