I was under the impression that Dallas 1-Wire networks were strictly short
distance but while scanning the Dallas site I came across:

Which talks about bus lengths of 100 meters and even up to 300 meters.
I assume master code is easy to find for the AVR (I'm sure I've seen it) is
there also slave support?
