  Supposedly GDB works with Eclipse and Avarice is designed to connect to
GDB, so by extension, AVR debugging through Avarice should work in
Eclipse.  It seems unlikely that I may be pioneering the actual _use_ of
Avarice since no seems to have used it up to now but perhaps the
developers...
