Hi there, I'm just posting my responses after each question. --- brokensystems1986 <brokensystems1986@...> wrote: --------------------------------- Saw this posted in a forum thought I would post it hear. I recently have noticed a renewed interest in a Atari ST IDE interface. What Im looking for is who would be interested in purchasing a IDE Interface for their Atari ST. Questions: 1) Which ST (i.e. STF, STE,Mega, or STFM) would you be installing the interface in? Well I've got several candidates: a) 4160STe (Tos 1.62) b) 520ST (tos 1.4, 4meg simm upgrade) c) 520ST (Tos 2.6, 2.5meg ram uprade) d) TT030 (T0S 3.6 4meg ST ram, 16meg TTram, CaTTamaran acellerator) 2) Do you have TOS 2.06 or would you also need a TOS upgrade? well I probably would on 2 of the machines, These are still available from best electronics and probably others too. 3) Would you install the interface yourself or need someone to install it? Being as my education and recent work experience plus several years of amateur radio I can install it myself. 4) Would you install inside the ST case or external? For me external would be good, many st have not much room inside and being able to mount the upgrade in an external case would be good. Especially if we were able to use some of the cases made for the tiny itx motherboards pc's have available. 5) Would you be willing to pay a deposit far a interface? Yes. 6) Where are you located? Ontario, Canada 7) How many would you order? As many as 4 or 5 but probably 1 or 2 at a time 8) How is the price of $120 US Dollars shipping included in the USA? Despite low production run parts & boards being more costly its a bit expensive, but survivable 9) Would you need Hard drive software? Well perhaps HDdriver would be a good option since it can use other ide interfaces already. If you feel this is something that you need or interested in please answer the above questions. Something important to me personally is will any warranty be offered? As some readers of this list will remember I complained recently about another vendor who sold me a piece of hardware (& software) that didnt work as advertised. I won't repeat the gory details again but it pointed out to me at least that warrany and technical support is important. bfn, James
