Suppose it is? He's disqualified then, right?

Regarding your need to play standard MIDI files on your AN1x, like a lot of
other people are saying.... it won't be easy.

Quick summary:
If you need a bass sound, you need a MIDI channel and a synth to play it.
If you need a brass sound at the same time, you need a different MIDI
channel and a synth to play it.
If you need any more sounds, it's the same as above.
Different sounds come out of a MIDI file (usually) as different channels.
The AN1x is only set up to play a maximum of 2 sounds at one time, and to do
this, you must set the AN up to receive on those 2 channels.

PS - Stolemonkey, read your posts. e:trinity has posted often and even
discussed his music here, even as recently as today!

Your sequencer can send a program change message that will change Bass sound
#1 on MIDI Channel 1 to Bass sound #2 on MIDI channel 2.
I had an Oberheim Matrix 1000 that could only play one sound at a time-
During Live gigs I would have the sequencer send program change messages to
it so it played a different sound in the INTRO, VERSE, BRIDGE, and CHORUS
parts of a song. Made me sound like I had more gear than I did.

i *think* we are the youngest on here, which kinda suprises me...i didn't think this synth would appeal to the older more experienced crowd, i guess that just goes to show that it really *is* a solid synth....

and uhh...i also am sorry old ladiez, for being young and all... :-)
