The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Hello everybody! The AN1X Edit versions I found thus far on the net 
won't install on Windows XP....I had it working before on older OS's 
(W95+98)(some years ago :)
Does anyone know a possibility?

Could you be more specific as to what problem(s) you are having with AN1xEdit? Then 
perhaps somebody could help. There are many siimilar questions in the list archives and 
the majority of replies have no problem with AN1xEdit under Win XP.

Ok, when I try to run setup.exe the following message appears:

C:\Windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for 
running MS-Dos and Microsoft windows applications.

I Googled the error msg and came up with lots of info - check out:

for some trouble shooting tips.  I suggest this as so many on this 
list have not had problems, it's as good a place to start as any.
