Wind/Seashore patch

Wind/Seashore patch

2005-04-25 by Steve Wiggetts

Hi

Probably a simple one this, but here goes...

I'm trying to program a "wind" / "seashore" FX type patch on my
AN1X. Not too difficult you might think, and I've had a fair bit of
success experimenting with noise, VCA and VCF settings in getting
the sound I want. However, is there a way to keep the sound
sustained while I play other parts on another synth (both hands
needed!)? It's seems it's not enough to max out the VCA release, as
the sound fades too soon. I guess what I need is some sort
of "Hold" setting. I see there's a "Hold" feature available while
using the Arpeggiator. Can I use that for this type of
application? Or is there another way? Think the opening of
Elton's "Funeral for a Friend" as being the sort of thing I'm trying
to achieve...

Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

What About Running The Arpegiattor with 0 key follow on Hold With The
Lowest Tempo? Or change the Re-trigger Parameter and put the patch on
single Mode Probably Work Too.
How "soon" Is The Release Of The VCA on 127? That should Give You some
Time!
