Single Patch/Pattern Storage

Single Patch/Pattern Storage

2005-01-23 by Dan

Does anyone know if you can transmit just a single AN200 program
either by sysex dump or by the editing software/librarian? I have a
pretty good Oberheim patch that I wanted to post here but I've only
been able to store banks of 128 sounds to my PC.

Thanks!

Howdy Dan

I do believe that the XG An200 Editor will allow you to save either
a single patch or the whole bank but as an .an2 file.

You should also be able to do a patch dump to a midi sequencer and
store as a .mid file.

I have been happy with the XG method though.

Hope this helps.

Richard

Thanks for the replies guys! When I save the single pattern as
a .an2 file it contains 128 patterns, 127 of them blank yet still a
308K file. I'm not sure how to use a soft sequencer to make a .mid
file so I'll just post my user bank - The "OBFuzz" patch is # 117.

Unfortunately, the only application that will Open a .AN2 file is AN200 Editor - not AN
Expert Editor and not AN1xEdit. The standard for this list has been .AN1, please try and
upload your file in a format other users can share - I suggest you use AN1xEdit. You might
try dumping the patch to your Sequencer application and saving it as a .MID, but be aware
that the SysEx ID in the header will probably NOT be legible to AN1x and PLG150-AN
users.
