Does anybody use foot controllers (FC family or others) ?

I have two questions about these controllers:

- is the FC4/FC5 a simple switch [on/off] (in functionality and
perhaps in wiring diagram)?

- is the FC7 usefull (IYHO)... it's proposed as volume control ... i
suppose possible to assign everything that can be (for example) on
modulation wheel : is that true?

I accept everything, even wiring diagrams.

Useful?  Very.  I use 2 on my AN1x.
Assignment?  Yes.  Many parts of the patch can be controlled.  But the
assignment is global, that is, suppose you set the Foot Control to vary the
Modulation (CC1) - then on every patch it changes Modulation.  You can't set
them on a patch by patch basis (too bad).

I don't know about the FC4 or FC5.

Yes.  Obviously useful for Sustain and stop/start action against the 
Arp/Seq

Yes, that is correct. Using the Control Matrix you can assign the FC 
(Foot Control) to any of the destination parameters you might 
normally use the Mod Wheel for.

I use both switches.  I do believe the FC5 is on/off.  Plugged into the
foot switch socket it is usually automatically assigned as a
hold/sustain switch.

I mainly use the FC7 for volume but do have a patch with auto-wah set up
and it can control that as well.
