Logic 6 & AN1x CC environment

Logic 6 & AN1x CC environment

2003-11-27 by topfloormix

Hi Jon,

I found your AN1x environment for Logic on the web, it works fine,
but I have a question;

I can send CC from Logic to the AN1x to edit patches, but when I
tweak a knob on the AN1x it does not "move" the respective virtual
fader in the Logic environment. Is this normal, or is there a way to
make it work "back and forth" (a bit like if it was Sysex/Sound
Diver)

I am using Logic 6

Many thanks,

Gino

Glad it's working for you. It's a 'tweaked' version of the original
provided by Yamaha (I added the many parameters omitted by Yamaha.)
To answer your question: yes, I believe it's possible but I never
took the time to map the incoming CC numbers generated by the AN1x to
the onscreen faders. The thought of moving faders/knobs hadn't
occured to me until I was late into the coding and I never went back
to revisit it.

There is a PLG150-AN Environment on the 'net (probably at
Swiftkick.com if not in our Files section) that uses SYSEX to the
same ends as my Mode 2 environment. Don't recall if it was coded for
moving Faders/Knobs. I'd rather use CC than SYSEX when possible.

If you haven't checked them out yet - you *need* to see the Effects
and the Step Sequencer Environments - these are truely awesome and I
wish I could take credit for them. Again, check the Files section
here at Yahoo! Groups:

Still running LAG 5.5 and I'm slowly moving into OS X.
