I have 1.02

Are there any significant changes to the internal sounds and/or the
controls in a newer OS than mine?
If upgrades only concern midi interfacing, they wouldn't matter much to me.

Thanks.

v1.04 fixes a bug where some AN1x would display a premature 'low
battery' warning and a 'popping' sound in the Tempo synched Delay
effect...that's it.

Thanks, I haven't noticed any problem with the tempo delay and there's no
sign of a low battery.

How hard is it to upgrade the OS?

And, BTW, is that battery user replaceable?

It's simply a matter of removing the case from the chasis and swapping out an EPROM
chip. Go to the Files section here at Yahoo! Groups and navigate to the Tips & Tricks
section - you'll find a write up of the procedure.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/files

And somebody was good enough to upload some JPEGs of their AN1x with the case
removed from the chasis - check the Photos section

Uh, good question - this has been discussed on the list but I'm drawing a blank --
if it's soldered in place I'd have a tech replace it simply because I have no skills at
soldering. Maybe somebody on the list will chime in and refresh my memory ;-)
