An1x OS

An1x OS

2003-09-20 by poly8002000

Hi there !

I have one question ,
where can I get v1.04 EPROM for An1x and how much will cost me?
Now i have v1.01 version.
I also want to know what's the difference between v1.01 and v1.04
version anyway ?
So far I don't have any problems with my An1x :)

thanks,

Matej

You'd have to contact Yamaha in your country.

But since you don't have any problems, it's not worth changing it. The
differences between the various ROM versions are minute, and only fix a
few obscure bugs.

I never knew there were different versions. Can you tell me what
exactly the differences are between them?

Good info Lothar - thanks for sharing that.

In file section you will find a directory of Tips & Tricks:

There is a write up regarding the OS v1.04 EPROM but it has been some
time since it was updated. To quote my past conversation with Yamaha
Customer Assistance:

<< Is it safe to assume v1.04 OS will be the final revision to the
AN1x OS? In other words, no new features or bug fixes? >>

"Version 1.04 should be the last and final version for the AN1x.
However, if some obscure bug should be found, another update might be
available"

<< it's my understanding the v1.04 OS corrects an erroneous 'low
voltage' warning which can occur prematurely and that it also
corrects the audio response when modulating the depth, i.e., return,
of delay effects. Is this correct? >>

"Version 1.04 does correct the symptoms you described."

Hope this helps.
