Confused abou editors

Confused abou editors

2003-07-07 by sdorok2000

Hi all,

I just bought the AN200 from eBay. The synth works fine, only this
editor-software is missing.

As far as I got it I'm suppose to use XGFactory with some sort of
PlugIn for the AN200 to edit the machine via computer. On this group
I know found info on an1xedit which seems to be another program which
helps editing the AN200?

Am I right, am I wrong? Should I keep on hunting for the software
which was originally bundled with the AN200 or is there no use for
it? Which editor should I use with the AN200?

Thanks for any answers,
Sebastian

Call Yamaha Customer Assistance and I'll wager they'll provide
the missing CDROM for a fee.

XGWorks is NOT free - this is commercial software from
Yamaha. The missing CD from your AN200 should include
plug-in's that XGWorks will accomodate to provide
editing/librarian functions for the AN200 and PLG150-AN
daughter cards. There is a demo version of XGWorks available
from Yamaha.

You will find stand alone editors for the PLG150 card at the
XGFactory website http://www.xgfactory.com/ on the downloads
page. Furthermore, the freeware editor/librarian AN1xEdit also
works with the PLG150-AN/AN200 units.

I know. But I suppose on the missing CD there should be some sort of
XGWorks lite or something...

So am I right in assuming that inside my AN200 there is a PLG150
card? This is why the editors work with the AN200?

Thanks,
Sebastian

In my experience it takes about 24 hours for someone to get
back to you once you receive the automated reply.

In the back of the AN1x Owner's Guide are the worldwide
contactnumbers - they are also available via the web. If you don't
receive a prompt emal response - call.

Alos available on the web I believe...there is a dedicated
XGWorks page from Yamaha. You should give it the once over,
IMO.
