The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Nice one jon,

Actually we do have a cs6x but not with one of those cards so that means we should have all the editors for the cs6x lying around somewhere. However we've never tried loading these programs before so I guess now the question is...

if we load the sounds into the cs6x editor... is there an option on that editor to save the sounds in a different format... i.e. mid bulk or an1x, which either the an1x itself or one of its editors can use?

Failing this, perhaps if someone does have a cs6x then i could mail them the sounds and then they could save them into an1x editor format for us???

  Tom,

  I take it you don't use a CS6x? I assume you would need to load the 
  file into a CS6x/CS6xr THEN use AN1xEdit or ANExpert Editor to 
  retrieve the AN* specific voices. Aside from this I don't have a 
  specific answer for you other than to suggest you check with the CS6x-
  list:

  Off hand I don't know whether the CS6x list owner (David C.) is still 
  on AN1x-list but he might able to steer you towards the correct 
  resources.

PLG150AN installed in the CS6x?

Sorry, but I don't know the answer - I've never seen the CS6x editor before :-/

Adise you check with the CS6x list at the link I provided. There's a second CS6x list at 
Yahoo! Groups but they don't appeat to be as active. Good luck. Let us know how it 
turns out.

That's right. We have a real an1x but and a cs6r but we the cs6r does not have the
plg150an card in it. And the sounds we want are in plg150an editor. 

But don't worry because someone's mailed me off list and they do have the plg150an
card and they say that we can mail them the sounds and they'll save them in an1x editor
mode... so then we can load them into our an1x!

Is this thread regarding the sound set from vengance sounds for CS6x/r?

Does anybody know how too get the sounds intended for the CS6 into the 
PLG150AN?

I was wondering this also.  Those are AWESOME sounds for the plg150an.
Alas I only have the original an1x, so to get those sounds onto it would
be excellent.

 

I spoke to the author on the VG forum recently about this.

how to do this successfully let us know :-)

 

He is working on a soundest purely for the an1x, but as he says in the
forum thread it wont be done for a while and will be different sounds.

yeah it is! I didn't realise there would be such a problem getting the sounds accross.

we have his sounds for the jp and supernova too they are the most wicked sounds ever.

thats why we want more cool trancy sounds in our an1x instead of the lame stuff it came with.

Couple of things...

1st, please edit your posts - there's no need to reply with the 
entire thread...

2nd, I've no idea who this Manuel fellow is but it might be helpful 
if you were to share the results of your efforts with him.  Perhaps 
you'd already considered this :-) It would seem to me he might 
welcome the opportunity to expand the market for his commercial 
sounds.
