sound structure help

hey group, i have a song for you to listen to. its a tech house
track. the bass is off the an1x. moby bass. now as you will here
when the bass is rolling along it fades up and down with the
pattern. giving a kinda liver feel. fantastic, but it does it too
much. i dont know what parameter it is, or combination of. things
have not werked out yet with combining it with another scene and
morphing. i really like the bass line. its really fun, i just need
some help. www.audiosedative.iuma.com the track is
selftitled (tripped up remix) the original is under album 1 if your
interested.

Nice track - I enjoyed it more than usual. Has a good vibe - kind
of 'air liquide'ish.

Regarding the modulation on the bass sound, there are two
things you can check out:

1st, it might just be the setting for the VariEffect - check whether
the Flanger or Phaser is assigned and if so, reduce the D:W mix
(or you simply use the EF Bypass button to quickly disable the FX
using the 'All EF' option.) Also, you can adjust the Mod Freq:Hz for
each of those two FX using a real time mod source such as a
Mod Wheel or the Ribbon Controller.

2nd, it's more likely a slight fliter modulation using LFO1. Under
Knob Parameter Group, select MIX/VCF->FmodDepth (Knob 7) If
the amount is greater than '0' reduce the depth to your taste.

Any time you think you've an unwanted modulation, b-line for the
"Xmod Depth" options and reduce the amount - you'll find the
Pitch Mod Depth options (Pmod Depth) under the VOC1 and
VCO2 menus along with Pulse Width Depth (PWM Depth), the
Filter Mod (Fmod Depth) under MIX/VCF, and the Amplitude Mod
(Amod Depth) under VCA. LFO1 is hard wired to each with the
exception of PWM Source which is variable. Adjust the LFO1
speed to increase/reduce the rate of modulation.

Make sense? Good.

Jon
