Could anyone give me a good starting place for a Stevie Winwood-
Higher Ground type patch?

Thank you.

I only know 'Higher love'... but that song sounds like it could have
been made with an AN1x. *All* of the sounds.

Peter is correct-I meant Higher Love. Any tips for that lead sound?

Well hey...since you started down the right road :-)
How ABOUT Stevie WONDER's "Higher Ground" ?

I'd love to see a whole patch catalogue from his Innervisions album. He had some
really great synth going in there!

The tricky part is that some of it wasn't done on synthesizer. For example, the riff in Higher Ground is a Hohner Clavinet through a Mu-Tron envelope follower. It can be mimicked on synth, but to get it really close, you need a combination of a ROMpler and a synth with an external input.

Stevie Wonder also has a Yamaha GX-1, which is fatter than Luciano
Pavarotti plus Montserrat Caball\ufffd, times two, and about the same weight.
I'm not even going to try to emulate that on an AN1x.

I guess it's time for a Virus then.

Peter was in fact incorrect - I was thinking of 'When you see a chance'.
That sounds *so* AN1x, but the song is fifteen years older than the synth.

Let me look up the song... maybe I can come up with something.

Are we talking about that brass sound?

There already is a patch called "Stevie" that is somewhere in the Files. This patch is already a pretty close clone to the lead in "When You See A Chance," IMHO.
