Hi list!

Is it true that the AN200 synth is built around an PLG150AN card, ie that I can open it and use the PLG150AN in my CS6R?

Sounds strange to me, especially since the AN200 is cheaper than the PLG150AN card.

I really doubt that Yamaha stuck a PLG150-AN card in a case. It's certainly
built around the same technology as the AN card, with some extra features.
They are very similar beasts, so people generally refer to it as "a
PLG150-AN in a box".

By the way, the AN200 isn't cheaper. Yamaha has a $50 rebate on the AN card,
which @ approx. $229 - $50 = $179. Or if you own a Motif, you get $100 back.
Find a Motif owner to buy it for you and save more. Yamaha is really very
quick with rebates. I got my AN200 and DX200 rebates within a few weeks.

I heard rumours that, indeed, there's a PLG150AN in the AN200. Somebody 
opened it or something.

Yes that is what I heard to, I don't own either the PLG150AN or the AN200, but I am thinking about getting one. I don't really need a groovebox. But if there really is a PLG150AN inside the AN200...

I own a an150,and I tried a an200 at the Turnkey shop in London.The an200 seems to have a diffrent factory sound sets more rage groove style/beet box.I could not try the other sound sets as there was no midi keyboard,it was a DJ setup.However,for under £200 its a give away compared to £180 for a an150.
