Siel DK 600 and other poly synths from the good old days

I love my AN1X, but the old Siel had a clav patch that I used on every song. I finally found the sound on the AN1X, but I'm not sure how I did it. I went to preset 55, set it to morph, and moved the mod wheel until I hit the right spot. I don't remember if I tweaked that preset before morphing. Wonder is another good clav preset, one of the few presets I've kept. Speaking of polysynths, Waldorf's website has some nice information on filters. Go to their Micro Wave synth page and click on more information. Waldorf explains why polysynth filters are less aggressive than mono synth filters, how the high pass filter gives the old Junos their classic sound, etc. The Micro Wave has an accuracy switch that adds little random variations to emulate the instability of the old synths. I wish they would come up with a switch to get that hot wire smell from the old Hammond organs. Rainbow Jimmy http://www.spaceanimals.com http://www.mp3.com/spaceanimals
