But what happens if someone misses it, or loses his mail? Do we get reposts
then? Or should new members wade through all the old e-mails in the archive,
to get at the sounds?

It may be easier for the poster, but not necesarilly so for the readers.

Good point, plus if you add the URL of your new patch-file you don´t
have to attach anything, and the listmembers can decide by themselves
if they want to download it now or later. And seriously, sysex´s are
much more uncomfortable than .AN1-files. Zipped they are not bigger
than unzipped sysex.
