The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Does anyone on the list have both an AN200 and an AN1X? 

I know there are minor changes in the model, but some have mentioned 
a difference in sonic quality. One of them has decades of synth 
experience and I tend to trust his ears on other matters. (His 
experience of the AN200 was in a store though.) Would it be possible 
for you comment on what happens to patches when they are moved from 
unit to another (assuming the patch uses features common to both 
units).

I realize that they are two different questions:

1) Does the AN200 model render identical sound to the AN1X model when 
the parameter values are the same?

2) Do the units sound equally good?

Any help with either question would be appreciated.
