I Love A1xEdit

I Love A1xEdit

This program is great! i just acquired the AN1x this summer, but
only recently started using AN1xEdit. Already I have come up with
some really decent patches I think. Now I am wondering, if you have
a laptop with a Midi connection can you use that Live to access all
your patches? I guess you could. That would be amazing, because
then you could basically have access to all the patches you could
want in a live situation. I wish they had this same program for my
MS2k.

Sure you could but would you want to? IMO, SysEx data transfers
between a computer and the AN1x is not exactly a fault tolerant
affair and don't always come off without incident. Would you
really want to place yourself into a situation where you have to
troubleshoot, or reboot, in front of a live audience?

The AN1x contains 128 Voices (programs.) With a little
preparedness I would think that number sufficient for most live
situations. If you're *really* pressed for programs then I would
propose you use the 2nd Scene in each Voice to contain an
alternate Voice set. This would require a fair amount of time and
manual manipulation on your part, perhaps using AN1xEdit for
the task, but it would effectively double the number of available
Voices from 128 to 256.
