The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Looking for a friend who needs an instrument for a "celeste" emulation
for a community orchestra.

I have played celeste parts on a CS2X for this orchestra before, and I
believe the GM sound for this is the same on both the CS1X and the CS2X.
I just used the general midi celeste patch and the sound was very
realistic.

They would like to purchase one of these for their organization and they
don't need all the bells and whistles on the CS2X. If the sound engine
is the same on both for this sound, a CS1X will do the job.

Another question.......would another Yamaha model do? Like a one in the
"home keyboard" line?
Like I said, this instrument would only be used for celeste parts and
little else.

Email me if you have one to sell. The closer to Ohio, the better.

Have you or your friend checked out the Yamaha S03? It's an 
inexpensive alternative.

I think Sayer has considered selling his CS1x but he might have 
already done so :-(
