You can tell I really know my MIDI

Some of my patches are way quieter than others. I was planning to get 
a volume pedal. If I got a volume pedal and plugged it into the AN1X, 
would it also work for the Vintage Keys or do I need two volume 
pedals?

Not guaranteed, but probably.  The AN1x Foot Volume and Foot Controller inputs can be set to just about any MIDI CC#, and most instruments obey volume on either CC#7 or CC#11 (or both).

I spent this morning trying to normalize the volume of 47 AN1X 
patches. It only took 2.5 hours. It was fun in an odd slide ruler 
kind of way. I even fidled with the controllers so the filter sweeps 
and effects returns wouldn't spike the volume. It will be interesting 
to try out these sounds with the band to see if I got the levels 
right.
