Re: [AN1x] matrix screwups

Jimmy -
that's easy to fix -
when you select a target , at that very moment you usually have a "DIR"
selection in the amount of this matrix slot.
So the source's current value is directly applied to dest.
You better select the amount at first , like set it to "+1" and then select
the target - then you won't have this problem, as you just need to get ribbon
(f.ex.) to neutral position to get any modulations done to the target away or
turn modul. wheel to full 0 for the same and so on.

Hope that helps.
(I am speaking about the way of working with AN-1x via AN1X-Edit here)

Ray.

Oh, yeah. I HATE this - it wastes too much time having to try to recover the
sound.

This seems reasonable, but sort of backwards in logic. So you're saying that
first I need to set an amount BEFORE I select a parameter in the matrix? Nasty
logic, but I'll give it a try.

Yeah - just select something else than "DIR" .. Dir is an Absolute controller...
and all other settings ( +1. + 50....) are Rel. controllers..
So that if you don't touch the controller after selecting it in matrix target
(after making amount to something else than DIR) the sound won't change.
Ray.
Sorry for my clumsy english...

No apology necessary. Actually, thanks are due from me, since your suggestion
will save me a lot of headaches.
