Jon,

Thanks for organising the Get Together. It was great fun meeting everyone. And I look forward to the next one. The time went by too quickly for me!

Oh, after the conversations we had, I'm afraid there may be a new round of AN1x spanking though....... Ed? :-))

My take on the rally for the group -
What was immediately evident to me was that I was surrounded by 5 or so geniuses
in their own right - that strange common denominator being *computers* which
drew us into incessant jaw-wagging... hardware, software, development, MIDI,
beta testing, name dropping of heady music and musicinans - some reknown, some
obscure, etc. Given time and circumstance I have no doubt that any combination
of the attendees could have spent hours more talking... and these were all MEN
for pity sakes! You know, that species that takes all the heat for not
communicating enough. (Min's girlfriend Kim was entertained it seemed, although
she said she wasn't a musician nor much of a computer person.) Thanks to Jon
for having the head to organize the event. Please feel free to use the list if
you would like to try to have a rally where you live - I'm sure Jon (our
moderator) would approve of using the list to organize an event.

Different backgrounds, different ages, different tastes --- but that unique bond
of loving music and the devices and people who make it secured a pleasant
atmosphere and a great afternoon. And - nobody even flinched when I used the N
word (nerd - Never Ending Research for Data).

As Sayer knows, I does spanks me Annix in private - but sometimes I do display
the discipline publicly. Please find it in your hearts not to report me to
liberal keyboard-rights groups for being firm with my equipment. I wouldn't
want Social Services placing my Annix in a foster home due to so-called "abuse".
