AN1xEtidor and Cubase

AN1xEtidor and Cubase

2002-05-11 by sharon_an1x

Hello
I'm a verry happy user of AN1x
And using this baby on every project
Some times i get stack (dont we all ) and trying to find some sounds
or drum that can help me to go on with the track.
I'm a cubase user also so my quition is this:

How can I run cubase and an1x edit on same computer but many not on
same time?

I mean when i use a FM7 for instant i can load any back of this
instrument and use it,I want to do the same with the AN1x.

I midi is 16mpu-104 that come with the Elite mother board
If i need to buy some promidi i would like to know about that too
please.

My second problem is that i cant upload voices to the AN1xeditor
What the problem with that ?

Thanks in advance

Sharon

I if understand you correctly - you would like to run AN1xEdit
simultaneously with Cubase, correct? There are specific articles
on configuring Hubi's Loopback with your MIDI Interface and
software applications that can be found here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/files/Tips%20and%20Tr
icks/

Please read this information and post back to the list with any
specific questions you might have. Somebody will try to answer
them.

A 'pro' or 'semi-pro' MIDI Interface is always money well spent,
IMO. Particulalry if spent on a good multi-port MIDI Interface from
the likes of Emagic, Steinberg, or MOTU (for example.)

I'm uncertain I understand you correctly. Do you mean you cannot
Send voices to your AN1x from AN1xEdit? If so, then your MIDI
Interface may be at fault or it is simply a configuration error. Post
back with more detail on your set-up and what error occurs.

If you mean there are files you cannot open in AN1xEdit - make
certain you are not trying to open a .MID or .SYX file by mistake.
The AN1xEdit filetype is .AN1 - those other file types should be
imported into either your software sequencer (.MID) or a generic
SysEx librarian (.SYX) to load into your AN1x. Make sense?

Jon
